Student Funding

Funding Approval Process

The approval process consists of the following steps:

  1. Students will review the guidelines of the SOG/EEG depending on which proposal they are submitting.
  2. Students will submit proposal forms on Student Link.
  3. The proposals will be reviewed by the SDFC each week. The deadline for receiving proposals for the week is Wednesday at 5 pm. The SDFC will use a checklist based on the SOG/EEG guidelines to make their decisions.
  4. Completed comments will be sent to Tina Samuel Powellson. If everyone approves the proposals, an email will be sent through Student Link to the student with that information. If everyone denies the application based on a specific guideline, an e-mail will be sent to the organization/individual a reason for their denial. If there is a reason that a decision cannot be made solely based on the checklist and it deserves face to face discussion, the SDFC will meet on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. when needed.
  5. After students have had their event or traveled, whichever grant they have applied for, they will need to fill out an evaluation online in order to be reimbursed for expenses through CCL.
  6. There is an online appeal process if students have issue with the SDFC decisions that will be reviewed by Dr. Frank Ross.
